Here's a couple of boot animations I made up the first is a modified version of droid pissing on apple and the second is android screwing apple just all in good fun have a laugh when your phone is booting
First Directions: 1- download zip
2- go to system/media and rename existing boot animation to bootanimation.bak
3- move new boot animation to system/media and set permissions to 0644
4- Reboot and enjoy
Here's the modified version of droid pissing on apple -  https://www.dropbox.com/s/9m83b7cv8tc5h06/bootanimation.zip
And here's the other one -  https://www.dropbox.com/s/lad5dh99pqg1pvn/bootanimation18%2B.zip
Note on the second one you must change the name to just bootanimation
Enjoy and hope you have a good laugh

G2 Help / Re: help pls, 1 day old G2

Klotar is correct you will most likely have to do a factory reset I've talked to several people that had the same issue after taking the update and the only way that fixed it was a factory reset

Hello my name is Robert I'm into making mods for the g2 and in the process of making a custom ROM and also learning to make a custom kernel too right now my g2 is rooted running malladus ROM and simple kernel overclocked to 2.5ghz and totally blacked out 95% of the apps are blacked out along with the settings menu
I'm pretty knowledgeable about the lg g2 so feel free to ask me

G2 Help / Re: Battery Draining (and heat up) issues?
« on: June 25, 2014, 07:56:31 PM »
One thing you can do is go into Wi-Fi then settings then advanced Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi always scanning this will help a lot on the battery drain

G2 Help / Re: smart screen?
« on: June 25, 2014, 07:20:52 PM »
I have smart screen and smart video both turned on and they work great except when I put on my reading glasses I don't know if you wear glasses but if you do that's probably the reason why it's not working also like stayed above in certain lighting situations that it won't recognize your face to well also depending on how close the phone is to your face and the angle of the phone are all variables that will make it detect or not

G2 Help / Re: Sim Card Icon with Exclamation Point?
« on: June 25, 2014, 07:00:28 PM »
I pretty sure what your describing is just the USB debugging symbol I not sure why it didn't show up the next time you plugged it in but usually when you plug your device into a computer you'll get a pop up on the screen that will ask you to choose between charging, media, debugging, and tethering/internet/ethernet

G2 Help / Re: keyboard
« on: June 25, 2014, 06:43:10 PM »
Try all the suggestions mentioned above and if they don't work go into settings then app manager then all apps and try clearing the cache and data I personally use Google keyboard it's small in size for an apk compared to Swype which I used for awhile but also found Swype to be a battery drainer just my personal opinion

G2 Help / Re: volume
« on: June 25, 2014, 06:34:37 PM »
If your rooted with a custom recovery head over to my thread all around volume booster.  http://lgg2forum.com/g2-root-hacks-mods-and-development/(mod)-all-around-volume-booster/
You'll get all the volume you need just download the mod and boot into recovery and flash the mod and you're all set
I forgot to mention there is an app on the playstore that works well it's called volume + I would recommend getting the paid version I tried posting a link to it for you but can't seem to get it to work from my phone

14
OK warning first this mod makes all the volumes very LOUD speaker/headset and Bluetooth so just a warning I'm not responsible for you blowing out your eardrums or speakers there is some distortion at the volume all the up but the main reason I made it this way is for hooking up external speakers which if there decent speakers can handle the volume so you've been warned now here's the mod: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vblpoil1dmcq8dj/all%20around%20volume%20boost.zip OK here's one that decreases the speaker volume down to 70 instead of 75 for those of you that think the other version is to loud: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k73sxw0ox3rdg9z/all%20around%20volume%20booster%20speaker%20to%2070.zip Should work with any ROM but have not tested it on anything but a stock version of KitKat
Just boot into recovery and flash zip
Each ROM is different so that's why I made two versions on some ROMs the first version is to loud for some people
Also this mod works great in combination with vipers apk here is a link to his thread:
