Has anyone tried the CyagenMod 10 or 11? I'm interested in getting more out of my vs980.

G2 Accessories / Chromecast will now mirror your G2!
« on: July 17, 2014, 10:33:25 PM »
The inexpensive chromecast($35) can now mirror your screen to a big screen similar to Miracast. It seems to work much better than the netgear ptv3000 I used in the past. As for the chromecast functionality, Netflix had an awesome picture and Pandora works great.  However you need a home WiFi setup. (Or a sepperate hotspot)

Not everyone knows that your G2 has USB OTG(on the go). It allows your phone to act as host for usb, meaning you can connect a number of devices like a wired mouse or keyboard, a flash drive, a printer, a USB hub to connect multiple devices, or even a wired xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 controller. All you need is a micro USB male to USB female adapter (for like $2.00). For devices that require more power than your phone can give, they have an adapter with a sepperate power cord.

G2 Root, Hacks, Mods And Development / the new G3 mod
« on: June 25, 2014, 11:35:58 PM »
I read that there's a new G2 mod based on the G3's. It includes the "flat UI", 4K video recording and more. I here it's pretty stable. When I'm ready to void my warranty it would be nice to overclock the processor.  and run this.

G2 General Discussions / want to connect an LG G2 to a tv?
« on: June 13, 2014, 08:05:25 PM »
I appreciate having the ability to share my phone's screen to a big screen tv.  When I bought my G2 I expected it to connect with MHL through the USB like it's  predecessor the optimus G. I then was told I should use MIRACAST(wireless HDMI), so I gave the Netgear  ptv3000 a try, there was a significant delay and I couldn't get the sound to sync up.  I just heard good news that there is an adapter out there called Slimport.  It is the same idea as MHL with high quality picture and sound.  I had a hell of a time finding this out.
