can't receive mms
« on: February 17, 2014, 09:29:01 PM »
I've only had my lg g2 now for a few days and I can't receive pictures.  I did get 2 when I first got the phone but none of the others have come through, it comes us as though I have received one but only the message comes through with no pic.  I can send them though,  anyone else had this issue?
Thanks

OK, a few questions:

Who is your carrier?

Is your G2 branded to your carrier, or an international version, or branded to another carrier and unlocked for use on your carrier?

Have you confirmed that you are on an MMS plan?  While that question may sound condescending, it's not meant to be.  Sometimes when you change phone plans, the new plan is not set up right but it works for the first few days because the "new" settings haven't taken effect yet.

Are you using the stock, native Messaging App for your SMS/MMS?  Or have you enabled SMS/MMS on Hangouts?  Did you previously have an iPhone and use iMessage?

Some random thoughts, pending your answers.  T-Mo USA customers on Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Calling (UMA) have reported issues receiving calls, SMS and MMS while connected.  Also, sometimes you can do everything humanly possible to troubleshoot the issue to no avail and calling the carrier to have them "reset" your settings is the only way to fix it (all carriers, from what I have read).
