Have broken screen can't get phone into media sync mode.
« on: November 30, 2013, 08:10:11 PM »
I broke my screen on my G2, I canít get it to go into media sync  mode as I have no way to use the screen. Does anyone know how I can do that or get my photos off of the phone without being able to use the screen?

A few questions:

- I suppose you didn't install any cloud storage (dropbox, google drive, picasa, etc.) on your device; OR you didn't go out of your way to disable it (I think these are enabled by default when you initially sign into your device using your gmail account.

- As for the broken screen, is it completely non-responsive or is it that you can't see what it might be displaying?  That is, does any touch input work, just that you can't tell?  Or is it not working, period (no sounds to confirm touch input).

Possibly, there may be some tidbits here that may help.  Be sure to follow some of the links through and not give up too early (i.e. when it says 'turn on mass storage mode' and "duh!" you can't -- there is mention of being able to remotely install [via the Play Store] apps that may put the device into Auto mtp mode, for example).

Good luck.
